Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Sea Freight Imports Clerk based in Slough, primarily focusing on sea freight imports, with some involvement in air freight operations.

Role Responsibilities:
The Import Executive will oversee all imported goods arriving in the destination country, managing the entire transportation cycle via ocean and air. This includes ensuring that all necessary documentation is accurate and compliant with Customs regulations for clearance and entry.

  • Gather charges and cargo release information from agents, airlines, and shipping lines.
  • Process customs clearances efficiently.
  • Ensure timely payments are made prior to shipment as required.
  • Handle all payment processing and necessary documentation.
  • Coordinate the release and transportation of goods to importers.
  • Maintain daily communication with agents, partners, suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth operations.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in sea freight imports.
  • Strong negotiation skills and numerical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software and systems relevant to the role.
  • Experience working within an air/sea import team, including booking deliveries, liaising with carriers, negotiating rates, and preparing shipping documentation.

Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary ranging from £25,000 to £30,000, based on experience, along with:
