Portfolio Payroll is seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and administration, including following payroll procedures, completing related forms and returns, and maintaining and updating employee records on the payroll system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Manage payroll procedures, including completing forms and returns, and maintaining employee records.
  • Liaise with staff and management on payroll-related queries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Interpret awards and agreements, and calculate statutory payments, including SMP and SSP.
  • Process termination payments, increases, and back pay, and complete month-end and year-end processes.
  • Reconcile payroll to budgets and make payments.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of payroll and relevant legislation, including tax and national insurance.
  • Excellent numerical ability and data entry skills.
  • Ability to interpret awards and relevant legislation, and communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to organise, prioritise, and maintain a heavy workload.
  • Strong payroll processing experience.
