About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is on the lookout for a compassionate and committed Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our team in Liverpool. This position entails collaborating closely with students who display challenging behaviours, ensuring they receive the necessary support to thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students exhibiting challenging behaviours within a classroom environment
- Support educators in the development and execution of behaviour management strategies
- Foster positive relationships with students to enhance their engagement and motivation
- Provide individualized support in one-on-one or small group settings
- Track and document student progress and behavioural patterns
- Maintain effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with children or young adults exhibiting challenging behaviours
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Capacity to remain composed and patient in high-pressure situations
- A proactive and optimistic approach
- Enhanced DBS check and on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
