Role Purpose
To ensure Clarity utilizes the most suitable ground transport suppliers to meet customer needs and align with the business's commercial goals.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure we are providing optimal ground transport options for our clients while maximizing Clarity's profit margins. Engage with suppliers to maintain robust partnerships and onboard new suppliers based on business requirements.

Primary Duties

  • Evaluate the portfolio of Ground Transport suppliers, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure the business is selecting the optimal mix of suppliers to achieve maximum margins.
  • Work with internal teams to identify issues and escalate them to suppliers when necessary.
  • Guarantee that the right information is accessible on our booking platforms to meet customer and business needs.
  • Create and uphold a clear commercial policy for Ground Transport suppliers (including Rail, Car Hire, Taxis, and other ancillary services).
  • Collaborate with suppliers to secure the best deals for our clients and the most favorable commercial terms.
  • Generate reports and analyze booking trends, providing monthly updates to the Head of Commercial Strategy.
  • Ensure that system enhancements are communicated to internal teams to keep systems updated and inform customers.
  • Maintain relationships with key ground transport suppliers, including rail, car hire, transfers, and ancillary services.
  • Work closely with Clarity's Online Development team to ensure the availability of the right Ground Transport providers on the system and support their requirements.
  • Understand and communicate key themes of new and existing policies implemented by RDG (e.g., Green Travel Pledge).
  • Establish new partnerships with ground transport providers as needed, ensuring a smooth booking and back-office process.
  • Collaborate with the business to address any supplier-related issues and resolve them with the supplier and/or development team.
  • Conduct regular review meetings with ground transport providers to maintain strong relationships and align business growth with objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in a commercial setting, preferably in a product or commercial role.
  • Familiarity with rail, car hire, and ancillary products is advantageous but not essential.

Skills and Competencies

  • Analytical mindset with strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Outstanding communication abilities to engage with internal, global, and external stakeholders.
  • Commercial and strategic awareness.
