Company Overview: Mitie is on the lookout for an HR Manager to guide and assist our operational management team in effectively implementing people policies and procedures for a workforce exceeding 300 employees. This role is situated in a highly regulated secure operating environment, characterized by a unionized workforce. You will maintain a direct connection with the central HR function within Business Services to enhance your expertise and resources, fostering your professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coaching and Mentoring:
- Actively coach and mentor managers across all levels.
- Provide practical and commercially viable solutions to people-related challenges in alignment with business goals.
- People Strategy Development:
- Design and execute the People Strategy within the contract framework.
- Operational Assistance:
- Collaborate closely with Operational Management teams on day-to-day HR matters, including case management, recruitment, onboarding hurdles, workplace culture, and employee engagement.
- Resource Management:
- Assist in resource planning, recruitment, and onboarding processes.
- Compliance Oversight:
- Lead compliance initiatives to ensure full adherence to contractual obligations.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary contact for senior management as needed.
- Talent Development and Succession Planning:
- Identify and cultivate talent while formulating succession plans.
- HR and Learning & Development Initiatives:
- Implement and communicate One HR and L&D initiatives.
- Oversee and facilitate management training across all levels.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience:
- HR professional with a background in a commercially driven, highly unionized setting.
- Essential experience in Industrial Relations.
- Desirable experience in managing high-volume recruitment.
- Experience with TUPE is advantageous but not mandatory.
