We are currently in search of a highly competent Principal Maintenance Engineer to manage the upkeep of a distinguished facility in Stratford. This role presents an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team responsible for maintaining communal areas through both scheduled and responsive actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate a team of engineers and subcontractors.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory compliance and safety standards.
- Plan and implement both scheduled and emergency maintenance activities.
- Work closely with the team to uphold exceptional standards of building services.
- Oversee task distribution and guarantee timely completion of projects.
- Maintain and troubleshoot various systems and equipment, including:
- HVAC systems (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
- BMS (Building Management Systems)
- Chillers and boilers
- Electrical distribution systems and switchgear
- Emergency lighting and fire alarm systems
- Water treatment systems
- Escalators and elevators
- Generators and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies)
- Lighting control systems
- Electrically qualified with relevant certifications (minimum Level 3).
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team within a similar context.
- Strong organizational abilities and experience managing subcontractors.
- Comprehensive understanding of building services as a whole.
- Ability to perform under pressure and work in a shift pattern that includes both day and night shifts.
- Exhibits leadership and team management capabilities.
- Possesses a proactive approach to problem resolution.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
- Dedicated to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
- Flexible and adaptable to varying workloads and shift patterns.
- Salary range: £45,000 - £48,000
