About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Instructional Designer to join our dynamic Design Team at Calex UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and launching blended learning materials for our clients in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders to scope requirements and develop effective learning solutions.
  • Analyse learning objectives and gather content from multiple sources to create new or update existing courses.
  • Select and use various techniques to determine instructional content and maintain a high level of learning services.
  • Design compliant learning solutions to meet the requirements of external accreditation bodies.
  • Create digital materials to support blended solutions, including animations, interactive guides, visual aids, video, and e-learning.
  • Deploy blended learning interventions on our learning management system, including course activities and pathways.
  • Maintain knowledge and expertise in the latest design, development, and learning channels.
  • Lead Train the Trainer sessions for new and updated courses.
  • Manage and lead a portfolio of projects, demonstrating clear project planning and time management skills.
About You
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in learning design and development, including conducting a learning needs analysis and scoping solutions.
  • Strong project management, time management, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage own workload to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to quickly assimilate information.
  • Experience using a learning management system and understanding its functionality.
  • Ability to be creative and innovative within tight time constraints.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the wider team and be a self-starter on solo projects.
  • Excellent digital media skills and designing for visual impact.
  • Demonstrable writing ability, including e-learning storyboards and video scripts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong focus on quality control.
  • Understanding of how to develop materials to reflect the diversity of the learner.
  • Good experience in using Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
  • Experience using tools for creating learning assets, such as Articulate Rise/Storyline, Vyond, and PageTiger.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £36,000 - £41,000 depending on experience.
