Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Unit Manager at Lepton Heights, our new care home in Huddersfield. As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of nursing and care colleagues to deliver exceptional care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Registered Nurses, Nurse Associates, and Health Care Assistants to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our residents.
  • Oversee the ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording, and disposal of medication.
  • Act as the Named Nurse for residents allocated to your unit, ensuring their care profiles are up-to-date and reviewed regularly.
  • Supervise and manage the clinical elements and risks on your unit, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our residents.
Requirements
  • First-level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN.
  • Post-registration and management or supervisory experience and/or training or qualifications.
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills, with the ability to work confidently on your own initiative.
  • A good standard of digital skills and the ability to work with our electronic care planning system.
