Job Description

X4 Technology, a leading provider of innovative compliance solutions, is seeking a skilled Product Designer to join their team. As a Product Designer at X4 Technology, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience and visual identity of their products.

The company focuses on making compliance easier by handling everything from scheduling building checks, like fire safety assessments, to tracking and fixing any issues found during inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User-Centric Design: Lead the design process with a deep understanding of user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that enhance overall product usability.
  • Conceptualisation and Ideation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and conceptualise design solutions. Translate ideas into high-quality design concepts, taking into account user feedback and business requirements.
  • Wireframing and Prototyping: Develop wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts. Iterate on designs based on feedback and user testing, ensuring a seamless and engaging user journey.
  • Visual Design: Create visually appealing and on-brand interfaces that align with our design principles. Pay attention to detail and maintain a consistent design language across all products and platforms.
  • Design System: Contribute to the development and maintenance of our design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency in design processes. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to bring designs to life. Foster a collaborative and innovative design environment within the team.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and completed projects.
  • Highly Proficient in Figma. With strong knowledge of prototyping and the ability to create interactive prototypes quickly.
  • Communication Skills: excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to articulate design decisions and rationale clearly to both design and non-design stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to evolving project priorities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to approach design challenges with creativity and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience in B2B SaaS Products/Platforms
  • Experience in building compliance is a plus.
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript to enable efficient collaboration with development teams.
  • A well-established network within the design community, with a solid history of staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Knowledgeable in accessibility standards, with a dedication to crafting inclusive, user-friendly designs.
  • Skilled in understanding business metrics and assessing how design choices affect key performance indicators.

X4 Technology offers a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000, private healthcare, performance-related bonus, and over 25 days annual leave + bank holidays and birthday day off.
