Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies to mitigate risks and maintain a secure operational environment.
- Develop and maintain relationships with correspondent banks to facilitate smooth working support and quick resolution of issues or concerns.
- Liaise with Business Development and Financial Markets departments to meet funding requirements and manage funds movements in a timely manner.
- Lead projects related to operational systems, ensuring timely completion, achievement of objectives, and cost efficiencies.
- Liaise with the Head Office and IT regarding system issues and business requirements.
- Supervise and lead a team of banking professionals, providing guidance and support.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Coordinate with external partners and stakeholders to streamline processes and achieve operational excellence.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the operations team.
- Provide specialist knowledge and support to the Operations function to ensure deliverables are achieved to meet business requirements.
- Prepare regular Management Information (MI) reports for the management team.
- Assist with and cover any tasks within the department as needed.
Requirements
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
- Extensive and proven experience in Operations.
- Demonstrated experience in banking operations with a strong understanding of financial regulations.
- Comprehensive understanding of Loans Administration.
- In-depth knowledge of Payment Operations.
- Solid grasp of Treasury Operations.
- Over 10 years of experience in Financial Services Industry with a proven track record in similar departments or business streams.
