About the Role

Munich Re Specialty Group is seeking a skilled Business Process Manager to join its team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for creating and documenting As-IS and TO-Be processes for business units, working with divisional leadership to map out customer journeys, and identifying opportunities for process standardization, simplification, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all processes are documented according to company methodology.
  • Understand business objectives, responsibilities, and processes to identify opportunities for front-office process digitalization or process waste reduction.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental change initiatives for process improvement, leading projects to increase process automation, task alignment, and eliminate process waste.
  • Act as an interface to collect business requirements for internal and external stakeholders, informing the development of digital applications to support business managers.
  • Assess and document process control effectiveness, agree on action plans for improvement, and devise a reporting mechanism to demonstrate process risk status.
  • Manage projects related to process improvement in collaboration with departments or outsourced partners, producing project documentation, action tracking, and communicating changes.
  • Add requirements to the IT development pipeline by understanding business needs, collating business user requirements, and attending prioritization meetings to drive development.
  • Measure process control effectiveness, investigate areas of identified poor control, prioritize, and facilitate improvements to reduce risk and produce associated reporting.

Requirements

  • Understanding of primary insurance business models, processes, and entire value chains.
  • Ability to create visual representations of business journeys.
  • Proven track record in project and change management.
  • Solution and detail-oriented with experience in process mapping and process improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive suitable use cases to describe business requirements.
  • Understanding of process documentation systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and personable character.
