Their dedicated supporters have facilitated the raising of over £139 million, enabling the advancement of their mission to enhance health and well-being while fostering awareness.

In collaboration with the Head of Fundraising, the chosen candidate will offer comprehensive support and motivation to individuals participating in charity events, challenges, and activities, while also overseeing their progress. Additionally, they will contribute to the development of innovative fundraising strategies and broaden the fundraising revenue streams within the organization.

This role presents an exceptional opportunity to engage actively with supporters during some of the most notable participation events across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address daily inquiries regarding the operation of online fundraising platforms and general fundraising questions.
  • Establish rapport and provide guidance, encouragement, and support to participants in our unique challenges through phone and email communication.
  • Follow up with individuals facing challenges and motivate them to meet fundraising targets.
  • Achieve proficiency in utilizing the Give Star fundraising registration system.
  • Identify top fundraisers participating in events and offer tailored support, developing a pipeline where applicable.
  • Reach out to fundraisers who miss deadlines to provide additional assistance and encouragement.
  • Express gratitude to supporters through phone calls, emails, and letters.
  • Promote various activities to supporters.
  • Communicate issues and respond to internal fundraising inquiries from other departments.
  • Document all interactions in the ThankQ database.
  • Assist in managing the logistics and administration of fundraising materials such as collection tubs, buckets, and banners.
  • Support the creation of fundraising initiatives by collaborating with fundraising groups, community fundraising, promoting the lottery, monthly donors, potential legacy givers, and giving campaigns.
  • Contribute insights and recommendations to foster the growth and development of new income streams.
  • Participate in events as necessary and create engaging content for mass communications.
  • Assist in compiling reports for the Board of Trustees.



Skills & Experience

  • Experience in at least one area of fundraising, with a background in a fundraising department.
  • Customer support experience, including telephone interactions and relationship building.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of current technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively, with robust administrative skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in both verbal and written communication.
  • Experience with online digital platforms, ideally including fundraising databases.
  • Proficient in crafting compelling copy for emails and social media to inspire and motivate others.
  • Interest and/or experience in fitness, health, and walking.
  • Excellent writing abilities and a solid understanding of customer care principles and charity accountability to donors and supporters.
  • Outstanding communication skills across all levels, including verbal, written, and personal interactions.
  • Comfortable with basic numeracy and capable of performing simple calculations.
  • Able to inspire and influence others effectively.
  • Self-driven and innovative thinker.
  • Friendly and confident demeanor with a positive outlook.
