About the Role:

The Planning Manager will play a crucial role in coordinating project development activities, analyzing market trends, and ensuring the successful execution of BESS initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for the deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems, in alignment with company objectives and market dynamics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential BESS project opportunities, conduct feasibility assessments, and evaluate site suitability.
  • Lead the preparation of comprehensive project proposals, including technical specifications, financial models, and regulatory considerations, to secure necessary approvals and funding.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for growth in the BESS sector.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies, utility companies, and other stakeholders to navigate permitting processes, address regulatory requirements, and obtain necessary approvals for project development.
  • Monitor project progress against established KPIs, milestones, and budget targets, and provide regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with BESS projects and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, technological advancements, and policy changes related to battery storage and renewable energy, and incorporate relevant insights into planning efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, project management, or related roles preferably in renewable energy.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, from conception to execution, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
