Our client is a leading national provider specializing in the repair, maintenance, and LOLER inspections of various crane types.
Your Role as an Electrical Lifting Equipment Engineer:
In this role, you will be responsible for the routine servicing, maintenance, and repair of lifting equipment. Key duties include ensuring that rental equipment is kept in optimal condition, performing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI), and responding promptly to customer breakdowns. You will also ensure compliance with LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) and LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) standards to maintain safety and regulatory adherence.
Qualifications for Success:
- Experience in a related field, particularly with cranes, powered access, plant machinery, or material handling equipment.
- Strong electrical knowledge for effective diagnosis and repair of overhead cranes.
- LEEA certification indicating expertise in lifting equipment inspection and maintenance.
- CSCS Card for safe access to construction environments.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality service and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- NVQ or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Valid UK driving license and readiness to travel to various customer locations.
- Prior experience as a Crane Engineer is a plus.
- Comfortable with working at heights as part of daily responsibilities.
- Familiarity with LOLER regulations.
- Certifications in crane operation and safety protocols.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
