Job Description

Crane Maintenance Specialist - Mobile

Randstad Tech IT is currently recruiting for a Mobile Crane Maintenance Specialist to work for a leading crane breakdown and maintenance company.

This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm, with a basic salary between £37,000 - £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Overtime is paid at 1.5x on weekdays and Saturdays and 2x on Sundays and after 10pm on weekdays.

The Role

The specialist will be responsible for conducting inspections, maintenance, and repairs on lifting equipment, cranes, and heavy machinery for clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of lifting equipment, cranes, and heavy machinery to identify potential issues and defects.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and replacement of parts, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Repair and replace damaged or faulty components, using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and develop customized maintenance plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, including LOLER, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.

Requirements:

  • Relevant electrical engineering qualification and/or experience.
  • Proven expertise in lifting equipment, cranes, and heavy machinery maintenance and repair.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards, including LOLER.
  • Certifications in crane operation and safety.
