About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Wartens Ltd. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for various industrial applications.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of real-time control system design and commissioning, as well as proficiency in control system software design and testing.

You will work closely with our team to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects, and will be responsible for creating specifications and design documentation, configuring and developing software, and safely testing and commissioning systems.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend the entire project lifecycle from concept to completion
  • Take responsibility for tasks or projects ensuring timely and successful delivery
  • Create specifications and design documentation
  • Configure and develop software for a variety of applications
  • Safely test and commission systems in operational end-user environments
  • Uphold high standards and consistency throughout the design process
  • Collaborate effectively within a team and adapt to various environments
  • Ensure adherence to all requirements of the company's Integrated Management System

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of real-time control system design and commissioning
  • Proficiency in control system software design and testing
  • Strong understanding of Electrical Control Panels and commissioning processes
  • Experience with the following systems and platforms:
  • Rockwell ControlLogix
  • Siemens TIA Portal
  • Rockwell HMI (FTView ME & SE)
  • AVEVA System Platform
  • Schneider ClearSCADA
  • PLC Software: Rockwell Siemens Mitsubishi Schneider
  • HMI/SCADA Systems: Rockwell FTView ME and SE AVEVA InTouch and System Platform Schneider ClearSCADA GE iFIX Siemens WinCC
  • Telemetry Systems: Schneider Brodersen Seprol S2000
  • Networks: Fibre Optic Ethernet Profibus

Experience:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience as a Control Systems Engineer
  • Willingness to travel across the UK
  • Personable and presentable demeanor
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn
  • Experience in the Water sector (desirable)

Key Criteria:

  • Reside within 45 minutes of the relevant office
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Possess the right to work in the UK / meet VISA requirements
  • Willing to relocate if necessary
