About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Control System Engineer to join our team at Wartens Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and implementing industrial control systems, encompassing both hardware and software.

Your responsibilities will include working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software, and Industrial Network solutions. You will also be tasked with configuring PC software for user interfaces and data processing, as well as integrating software packages using standard protocols and custom-developed scripts.

This role may require travel to various office locations and client sites across the UK.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in control system project delivery, including design, implementation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Basic understanding of electrical system drawings, including GA's, Wiring Schematics, and Termination Diagrams.
  • Strong fundamental electrical knowledge and ability to interpret system drawings.
  • Solid grasp of general IT/OT technologies and development methodologies.
  • Awareness and understanding of Quality Management System procedures.
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating System configuration and lockdown.
  • Familiarity with network switch and firewall configuration and network management packages.
  • Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a similar qualification.
  • Experience in a structured project delivery lifecycle.
  • Proficiency with Siemens PLCs/HMIs, and Drives.
