About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Control System Engineer to join our team at Wartens Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing industrial control systems, including hardware and software solutions.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial automation. You will work closely with our team to deliver mission-critical solutions, resolve hardware and software challenges, and design and configure cyber-secure infrastructure and communications.

In this role, you will also supervise assembly and electrical testing of solution hardware, install and commission solutions on customer sites, and provide support and mentoring to junior engineers.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in control system project delivery, including design, implementation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Basic understanding of electrical system drawings, including GA, wiring schematics, and termination diagrams.
  • Strong fundamental electrical knowledge and ability to interpret system drawings.
  • Solid grasp of general IT/OT technologies and development methodologies.
  • Awareness and understanding of Quality Management System procedures.
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating System configuration and lockdown.
  • Familiarity with network switch and firewall configuration and network management packages.
  • Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a similar qualification.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in PLC programming.
  • A full, valid UK driving license.
