Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and identify potential vendors for each category to aid in the formulation of effective category strategies.
• Participate in the continuous risk assessment process, including the annual evaluation of suppliers and the establishment of new projects aimed at mitigating associated risks. Implement development plans for key suppliers to enhance their risk profiles.
• Drive cost savings through various strategies, including leveraging volume, concentrating supplier relationships, and negotiating favorable pricing and terms.
• Cultivate and sustain collaborative, long-term relationships with suppliers to optimize total cost of ownership while minimizing risk. Understand the complete supply chain, including tertiary suppliers.
• Assist in the preparation, analysis, and reporting of raw material budgets, reforecasts, and price variance reports.
• Keep abreast of key raw material markets and comprehend the fundamental factors influencing those markets.
• Assess supplier performance based on established metrics, including on-time delivery, quality, pricing, innovation, cost savings, and risk management.
• Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to legal, ethical standards and comply with the company's procurement policies.
