Position Overview
The ICT Department is on the lookout for a personable and motivated IT Support Specialist to become a vital member of our technical support team. This role is integral to the first line of technical assistance, delivering remote support to users throughout the organization.
The individual in this position will handle and address support inquiries submitted via phone or electronically by users. They will serve as the initial point of contact for all staff regarding IT-related incidents and challenges, striving to resolve the majority of issues during the first interaction. The role involves a rotating shift schedule, with working hours including 08:00-16:00, 09:00-17:00, and 10:00-18:00.
The successful candidate must be adept at communicating with all levels of personnel within the organization and should be capable of collaborating effectively within a team while managing user dissatisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first line support to all users within the organization and other supported entities.
- Provide immediate solutions to IT issues logged through the IT Service Desk.
- Redirect support requests to appropriate resolver groups when a first-contact resolution is not achievable.
- Primarily operate from the designated support center, offering remote and telephonic assistance to users.
- Occasionally provide on-site support in various settings, including offices and clinical environments, as necessary.

Job Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- IT Qualification equivalent to GNVQ/A Level.
- Experience in IT support, ideally spanning two years.
- Progress towards A+ Certification.
Desirable Qualifications
- Possession of A+ Certification.
- Two years of relevant IT support experience.
Technical Skills
- Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, email systems, hardware, and software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with hardware components and a broad understanding of ICT technologies.
