IT Deployment Specialist

Job Summary

Vertex IT Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced IT Deployment Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day deployment of IT equipment to client sites, as well as the processing of equipment received back at our Life-cycle centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deploy IT equipment to client sites, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  2. Process equipment received back at our Life-cycle centre, including asset tagging, scanning, and booking into the client's Asset Stock Report or CMDB.
  3. Perform BIOS updating, OS imaging, and system software configuration.
  4. Configure applications, productivity software suites, and encryption settings.
  5. Manage the physical identification and withdrawal of client assets in our Life-cycle Stores and on the CMDB.
  6. Update CMDB tickets/calls with relevant changes and tracking information.
  7. Assist the Asset Management team in recording and reporting Asset Deployment/Returns Metrics.

Requirements:

  1. Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Software Suites.
  2. Basic PC skills in software installation and configuration.
  3. Basic knowledge of CMDB systems (training will be provided).
