An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Rehabilitation Assistant Practitioner to join our dynamic team in the fast-paced environment of Trauma & Orthopaedics at University Hospital Wishaw. This is a weekend-only post for the centralised service, serving both North and South Lanarkshire populations.
As a key member of our team, you will work under the supervision of registered therapy staff to assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals. Your duties will include:
- Conducting baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the identified service.
- Implementing, adapting, and progressing treatment programmes within agreed protocols and defined parameters.
- Delivering flexible, patient-centred programmes across various clinical settings.
- Discharging or transitioning care within agreed protocols and defined parameters.
You will be supervised by the weekend Specialist Occupational Therapist, adhering to weekend operational duties, coordinating updates with the weekday Therapy Team, and involved in relevant service improvement, staff development, supervision, and clinical effectiveness.
