Active Care Group is seeking a skilled Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Murdostoun Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre in Wishaw.

We provide specialist rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from an acquired brain injury and we also provide residential care for individuals with progressive neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the on-site domestic team to ensure a high standard of upkeep is achieved and maintained.
  • General cleaning of premises, including floors, sinks, toilets, wash hand basins, baths, showers, surfaces, cupboards, etc.
  • Carry out periodic cleaning, such as corridor walls, windows, and carpets, using the appropriate machines/tools.
  • Correct usage, storage, and care of cleaning equipment, adhering to COSHH procedures.
  • Ensure a smart appearance by wearing the company uniform provided.
  • Provide high levels of customer care at all times.
  • Complete all statutory and mandatory training, whether face-to-face or via e-learning, deemed relevant to the role.

Requirements:

  • A genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
  • Previous experience as a Housekeeper from either a healthcare or domestic cleaning background.
  • Experience working unsupervised and on your own initiative.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
