Position: Lead Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer

Location: National Travel Required

Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 Depending on Experience + Company Laptop + Mobile Phone + Continuous Training Opportunities

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 Hours per Week

We are seeking a skilled Lead Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join a leading engineering firm that specializes in providing services across various industrial sectors, including utilities, renewable energy, petrochemical, oil & gas, and manufacturing.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to become part of a company that is currently experiencing significant growth.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the implementation of tailored LV Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation Systems, including gas detection systems at client locations.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of 2-3 engineers, ensuring effective coordination while remaining hands-on when necessary.
  • Engage in installation, commissioning, maintenance, and client training activities.
  • Prepare work reports and calibration certificates, ensuring compliance with quality and health & safety standards.
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time to various customer sites, with occasional overnight stays.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven experience with low voltage electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of instrument control systems and loops.
  • Experience in supervising engineering teams.
  • Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or instrumentation.
