Position: Lead Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer

Location: National Travel Required

Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 Depending on Experience + Laptop + Mobile Phone + Continuous Training and Development Opportunities

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 Hours per Week

We are seeking a Lead Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join a prominent engineering firm that specializes in providing services across various industrial sectors, including utilities, renewable energy, petrochemical, oil & gas, and manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a company that is currently experiencing significant growth.


The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience as an EC&I engineer, with a background in any industrial field. A relevant qualification in electrical or instrumentation disciplines is essential, along with experience in a senior engineering role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of tailored LV Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation Systems, including gas detection systems at client locations.
  • Engage in installation, commissioning, maintenance, and client training.
  • Prepare work reports and calibration certificates.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and health & safety standards.
  • Be hands-on when necessary.
  • Travel requirements approximately 50% of the time.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience with low voltage electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with instrument control systems and loops.
  • Experience in supervising engineering teams.
  • Possess a qualification in a relevant electrical engineering or instrumentation subject.
