About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our Residential Children's Services team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to young people in our care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality level of care and support to young people.
  • Lead a team of care workers, providing guidance and support to ensure good outcomes for young people.
  • Contribute to the overall ethos, values, and aims of Polaris Community.
  • Accountable to the Registered Manager and Operational Directors.
Key Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification in Children's and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management or willingness to complete the qualification.
  • Experience of managing a team and comprehensive knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Familiarity with the needs of vulnerable individuals and high standards of safe working practice.
  • Current UK driving licence or access to appropriate transport.
Benefits
  • 25 days per annum plus 8 statutory holidays.
  • 39 hours full-time, with sleep-in duties required as set out in the rota.
  • Petrol allowance paid when using own car, with proof of business insurance required.
  • Pension in line with the organisational Pension Scheme and government guidance.
