Job Title: Senior Clinical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Technologist to join our Nuclear Medicine Department at Singleton Hospital in Swansea.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering clinical non-imaging and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine services for patients, including radiopharmaceutical ordering, drawing-up, and administration. They will also be involved in radioactive waste management, equipment quality control, and staff training and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver clinical non-imaging and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine services for patients
  • Order and administer radiopharmaceuticals
  • Manage radioactive waste and equipment quality control
  • Mentor junior staff members and students
  • Participate in planning and implementation of clinical and technical processes
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of patient data and radioactivity locations
Requirements
  • B.Sc. (Hons) in Nuclear Medicine, Radiography, or Science
  • Registered Clinical Technologist with RCT or Registered Healthcare Science Practitioner with AHCS
  • Experience in phlebotomy, cannulation, and intravenous administration of radiopharmaceuticals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
