Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Disclosures Officer to lead the Disclosures Cell within the Defence Intelligence Policy and Secretariat Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering all requests requiring the disclosure of information to Inquiries, Judicial Reviews, Personal Injury Claims, Inquests, SIAC cases, War Crimes, and other litigation and investigative work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the coordination and delivery of all requests for information disclosure, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Work closely with the Parliamentary Branch to ensure alignment with Ministerial Briefings and responses to requests for information under FOI and other legislation.
  • Provide guidance on FOI and Press Enquiries, ensuring that all responses are proportionate and maintain the integrity of National Security.
  • Act as the Disclosure Officer for all Press related engagement within Defence Intelligence, ensuring that all outward-facing disclosure is aligned with Ministerial Briefing and maintains the National Security of DI's work.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including Parliamentarians, lawyers, and other external partners.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of National Security and the disclosure process.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
