Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Disclosures Officer to lead the Disclosures Cell within the Defence Intelligence Policy and Secretariat Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering all requests requiring the disclosure of information to Inquiries, Judicial Reviews, Personal Injury Claims, Inquests, SIAC cases, War Crimes, and other litigation and investigative work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the coordination and delivery of all requests for information disclosure, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Work closely with the Parliamentary Branch to ensure alignment with Ministerial Briefings and responses to requests for information under FOI and other legislation.
  • Provide guidance on FOI and Press Enquiries, ensuring that deadlines are met and national security is maintained.
  • Act as the Disclosure Officer for all Press related engagement within Defence Intelligence, ensuring that outward-facing disclosure is aligned with Ministerial Briefing and maintains national security.
  • Provide redaction advice on Subject Access Requests, ensuring that DI SMEs are able to comment and justify redactions in line with legal requirements and national security.

  • Proven ability to write and draft concisely and accurately in a variety of formats.
