Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Disclosures Officer to join our team at Defence Intelligence. As a key member of our Policy and Secretariat Team, you will be responsible for leading the coordination and delivery of all requests requiring the disclosure of information to Inquiries, Judicial Reviews, Personal Injury Claims, Inquests, SIAC cases, War Crimes, and other litigation and investigative work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination and delivery of all requests for information disclosure, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Work closely with the Parliamentary Branch to assure alignment with Ministerial Briefings to MoD Minister and wider Members of Parliament.
  • Ensure that FOI disclosure is conducted within the necessary time frames and in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Provide guidance on FOI and Press Enquiries, coordinating DI Staff engagement on the matter.
  • Act as DDC Focal Point for all Press related engagement within Defence Intelligence, ensuring that outward facing disclosure is aligned with Ministerial Briefing and maintains National Security.

  • Proven ability to write and draft concisely and accurately in a variety of formats.
  • Prioritise own and others workload in a reactive role.
  • Effective communication skills, able to communicate with colleagues and customers using a variety of media.
