As a Medical Office Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing a professional and quality administrative support and reception service to patients, doctors, and other health professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the medical team, including answering incoming calls, diverting them appropriately, and liaising with clinicians.
- Manage appointments, including making, canceling, and rearranging them via the system.
- Perform routine clerical duties, such as photocopying, scanning, computer work, message taking, and telephone enquiries.
- Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, including electronic correspondence.
- Work collaboratively with patients to assist them in managing and preventing illnesses and coordinating access to specialized care.
- Recent experience of working in an office or reception environment, preferably in a GP or medical practice.
- Competent in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Effective communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work accurately and prioritize tasks.
- Awareness of confidentiality and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate a non-judgmental approach.
