Role Overview
We are currently seeking a Principal Security Consultant to join our esteemed Security and Technology Engineering team. This position offers a unique opportunity to significantly influence future construction initiatives in major urban centers worldwide.

Team Structure
The AECOM Security & Technology Engineering team operates as a specialized unit within the Building Engineering Division, providing expert Security and Technology design and support services that enhance the overall design efforts of our building engineering teams.

Project Focus
Our Buildings team comprises approximately 400 engineers engaged in large-scale construction projects, with a focus on specialized project sectors including:

  • Major commercial construction and fit-out projects
  • Large mixed-use developments
  • Historical and listed buildings

Key Responsibilities
As a Principal Security Consultant, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of relevant threats, evaluating the likelihood and potential consequences to determine risk severity and appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Design Physical Security solutions, including the development of concepts and technical designs for systems such as Vehicle Security Barriers (VSB), Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM), security fencing, and fortified doors and windows.
  • Design Electronic Security solutions, focusing on video surveillance, access control, intruder detection, intercom systems, and more.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Prior experience in Security Engineering
