Electrical Craftsperson Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Craftsperson to join our team at Sellafield Ltd. As an Electrical Craftsperson, you will play a vital role in maintaining the electrical and instrumentation systems that keep our site safe and operational.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities safely, efficiently, and effectively in support of plant operations.
  • Isolate and make safe electrical equipment as required.
  • Conduct fault finding and resolve issues using technical drawings, instructions, and manuals.
  • Use manual and electronic information retrieval systems to retrieve and explain information.
  • Liaise with a broad range of contacts to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or similar subject.
  • Successful completion of a recognised Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or similar subject.
  • Experience of isolating/making safe of electrical equipment.
  • Experience/evidence of fault finding and how issues were resolved.
  • Able to use both manual and electronic information retrieval systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with a broad range of contacts.
