About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Sellafield Ltd. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for carrying out vital electrical and instrumentation work to keep the site safe and operational.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering the full range of Electrical and Instrumentation maintenance activities safely, efficiently, and effectively in support of the plant operations.
  • Working at heights, in confined spaces, and wearing breathing apparatus, such as a respirator, and personal protective equipment, such as air-fed suits, PVC suits, and gloves.
  • Isolating and making safe electrical equipment, fault finding, and resolving issues.
  • Using manual and electronic information retrieval systems and explaining types of information retrieval used.
  • Reading technical drawings, instructions, and manuals.
  • Liaising with a broad range of contacts and maintaining strong communication skills.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a similar subject.
  • Successful completion of a recognised Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or a similar subject.
  • Experience of isolating/making safe of electrical equipment.
  • Experience/evidence of fault finding and how issues were resolved, including the techniques used.
  • Able to use both manual and electronic information retrieval systems and able to explain types of information retrieval used.
  • The ability to read technical drawings, instructions, and manuals.
  • Strong communication skills, and ability to liaise with a broad range of contacts.
