Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a child with moderate learning difficulties in a KS2 class.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one intervention to support the child's academic and personal development
  • Work closely with the SENCo and other SEN Teaching Assistants to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with parents to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting the child's needs
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation to meet the child's individual needs

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications and training in special educational needs
  • Experience working with children with moderate learning difficulties
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 5 days a week, with a 30-minute lunch break. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the SENCo and other staff members to ensure the child receives the best possible support.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £13.50 per hour, paid on a weekly basis. Teaching Personnel offers a range of benefits, including free child protection and prevent duty training, and assistance with DBS checks.
