Position Overview: We are excited to announce an opening for a Plant Operative to become a vital member of our team at our Asphalt facility.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Plant Operative, you will oversee and manage the safe and efficient operation of the Asphalt plant. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Conducting routine housekeeping activities to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Engaging in maintenance tasks to ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Operating mobile machinery, including loading shovels and skidsteers, while fulfilling yard duties.
  • Assisting with deliveries and sampling asphalt for our technical team.

What You Bring:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of health and safety, housekeeping, and environmental standards.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience in a quarry or asphalt setting is preferred but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Flexibility in work hours, including willingness to work weekends and night shifts.
  • A thorough understanding of the products produced by Asphalt plants.
  • Knowledge of operational procedures and plant maintenance.
  • The ability to comprehend written instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Skills in planning to optimize raw material usage and minimize waste.
  • A valid driving license.
