We are looking for an IT Security and Information Management Technician to join our dynamic IT department. You will be essential in addressing information security matters and delivering exceptional service to our internal stakeholders.

Your Role

The IT Security and Information Management Technician will be responsible for supporting all aspects of IT and information security, providing user guidance, and promoting best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in Information, IT, and Cyber risk management, executing remediation projects for identified security vulnerabilities and collaborating with the IT team for effective resolutions.
  • Operate security systems in line with established protocols and procedures.
  • Formulate business continuity strategies for designated areas and ensure thorough testing under various scenarios.
  • Conduct scheduled information and IT security audits across the organization.
  • Implement audit actions to maintain compliance with ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 standards.
  • Provide security guidance to users as necessary.
  • Oversee the IT Ticketing system, ensuring timely responses to all inquiries.
  • Report IT security incidents and participate in their resolution as needed.
  • Collaborate with various business units to ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Gain experience in diverse aspects of IT system administration to understand the critical nature of our systems.
  • Monitor information and IT security systems to protect our data and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and a readiness to acquire new skills.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant technical field with knowledge of IT, information management, security, and information systems.
  • Aspiring to become a professional in IT and information security.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards.
  • Understanding of various security threats.
  • Proficient in risk assessment and management methodologies.
  • Awareness of data protection regulations and their implications for information security.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Focused on delivering results.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development.
