We are seeking an IT and Information Security Technician to play a crucial role within our fast-paced IT department. You will be responsible for addressing information-related issues and delivering exceptional service to our internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in Information, IT, and Cyber risk management, executing remediation initiatives for identified security vulnerabilities and collaborating with the IT team on necessary actions.
  • Operate security systems following established protocols and procedures.
  • Formulate business continuity strategies for designated areas and ensure thorough testing under various scenarios.
  • Conduct scheduled information and IT security audits across the organization.
  • Implement audit actions to ensure adherence to ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 standards.
  • Provide security guidance to users as needed.
  • Oversee the IT Ticketing system, ensuring timely responses to all inquiries.
  • Report IT security incidents and assist in their resolution as required.
  • Collaborate with various departments to foster compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Gain comprehensive experience in IT system administration and management to understand the critical nature of our systems.
  • Monitor information and IT security systems to safeguard organizational data and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate ongoing professional development and a commitment to acquiring new skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant technical field with expertise in IT, Information Management, Security, and Information Systems.
  • Progressing towards a career as an IT and Information Security professional.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards.
  • Understanding of various security threats.
  • Proficient in risk assessment and management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data protection legislation and its implications for information security.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Focused on delivering results.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Eager to pursue continuous professional development.
