About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Sharples Davies. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and revenue through strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly sales and margin targets
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager and internal sales team to convert enquiries into orders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to increase revenue streams
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our customer base
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales and marketing campaigns
Requirements
  • Proven track record of success in sales and business development, with a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage margins
  • Effective sales knowledge of insulation and drylining systems, as well as contractor sectors such as drylining, ground workers, roofing, cladding, and main contractor
  • Experience of being accountable for a minimum annual sales budget of £2m p.a.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Strong sales administration disciplines, including quote management, CRM system, and diary management
