About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Training and Engagement Officer to join our team at Victim Support. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of victims and witnesses of crime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate a range of engagement and promotion activities aligned to the priorities of the local service.
  • Develop referral routeways with local organizations and increase community engagement and fundraising support where appropriate.
  • Develop and deliver a variety of training packages to relevant community partners promoting the work of Victim Support services to increase referrals.
  • Develop and expand awareness to partner agencies and community groups of the support available locally to anyone affected by crime.
  • Uphold and promote the values of Victim Support and treat colleagues and service users in a fair and non-discriminatory way.
Requirements
  • Experience of presenting to, training, and developing people.
  • Experience of partnership working, engaging with organizations and building relationships.
  • The ability to work without direct supervision, prioritize work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests in an organized and methodical manner.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and build and sustain relationships.
  • Ability to be able to work flexibly to accommodate the requirements of the role.
  • Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting professionally with a range of agencies and individuals.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all data protection requirements.
