About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Team Leader to join our team at Co-op Group. As a Customer Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of Customer Team Members, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the smooth operation of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly, welcoming, and helpful service to our customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of Customer Team Members, providing coaching, training, and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Store Operations: Ensure the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational, including managing stock accuracy, diligence checks, and maintaining a clean and tidy store environment.
  • Deputising: Deputise for the Store Manager as required, taking ownership of the store and handling challenging situations.
  • Community Engagement: Build relationships with local community groups and organisations, supporting the Store Manager in delivering the Co-op community plan.

  • Leadership Skills: The ability to lead and develop a team, providing coaching, training, and support.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Flexibility: The flexibility to work a range of different shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
