Position: Junior Financial Assistant in a Government Apprenticeship Program

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily financial record-keeping using accounting software for a diverse array of clients across multiple sectors.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax submissions.
  • Support the completion of monthly construction industry scheme reports.
  • Contribute to the preparation of corporate financial statements and tax filings.
  • Provide assistance in the preparation of individual tax returns.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to create engaging content for online platforms.
  • Engage with a varied client base, including individuals, sole proprietors, partnerships, and corporations, allowing for meaningful interactions with driven entrepreneurs.
  • Manage miscellaneous office duties as required.
  • Leverage advanced technology to address challenges and support client operations, ensuring they receive timely and relevant information for informed decision-making.

Daily Activities:

Training and Development:

You will be supported by a knowledgeable team as you pursue your AAT qualifications. All study-related expenses will be covered. The primary work location will be in a well-connected area, providing a pleasant commuting experience. Flexible remote working arrangements are available for all team members. The successful candidate will attend weekly training sessions to work towards their AAT qualification, complemented by mentorship to develop essential skills and competencies.

Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to further your education. We are committed to assisting you in pursuing advanced qualifications such as ACCA or other professional certifications.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Essential Skills: Strong communication, IT proficiency, attention to detail, organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, numerical aptitude, analytical thinking, teamwork, and approachability.
  • Educational Requirements: Minimum GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English (Grade 4-9 or C-A*).
