About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Investment Grade Trader to join our team at Prudential Financial. As a Junior Investment Grade Trader, you will be responsible for assisting our Portfolio Managers in implementing relative value strategies across our client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the completion of new issue order processes and booking allocations
  • Solicit potential trade interest from Portfolio Managers
  • Settlements liaison with the Operations team
  • Work with Portfolio Managers and the Portfolio Analytics Group to contribute to building trading programs to manage client flows
  • Monitor portfolio compliance and risk within the investment guidelines
  • Assist with executing bond and loan trades in a manner consistent with our best execution and risk management practices
  • Foster constructive trading relationships with the sell side
  • Sourcing external trading colour and trade ideas and disseminating internally in a timely manner
  • Gather, analyze, and disseminate market information that identifies or creates actionable investment opportunities
Requirements
  • Strong academic credentials, including a Bachelor's degree
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to apply those skills in a highly practical fashion
  • Impeccable integrity and fiduciary mindset
  • Pro-technology mindset and ability to leverage technology to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative, team-based, results-oriented environment
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel
