Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the position will assist Fund Accountants in essential fund accounting and operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties for this permanent Junior Financial Associate role will include:

  • Engaging with depository representatives to resolve transactional inquiries and supply necessary documentation from both Finance and Legal departments.
  • Assisting with fund operations, including capital calls, distributions, and transfers.
  • Supporting the accounts payable process, from coordinating internal approvals to preparing wire transfers for investments, expenses, and distributions.
  • Addressing stakeholder inquiries from investors, fund administrators, and external auditors regarding fund activities.
  • Facilitating investor-related tasks, such as updating FrontInvest with investor information and managing access to the investor portal.
  • Conducting fund accounting in accordance with US and Luxembourg GAAP.
  • Assisting with year-end audits and quarterly financial reporting.
  • Helping with cash reconciliations and monthly/quarterly closings on FrontInvest.
  • Contributing to quarter-end bookkeeping, including posting intercompany and accrual journals.
  • Supporting annual Luxembourg tax compliance projects (VAT, tax returns).
  • Assisting with annual US tax compliance projects (K-1, PFIC/CFC, and BEA).
  • Contributing to annual FATCA/CRS regulatory compliance projects.

Candidate Profile:

To be considered for the permanent Junior Financial Associate position, candidates should ideally possess:

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team spirit.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.
  • Flexibility in approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working under tight deadlines.
  • Ideally, part-qualified status in accounting or successful completion of accounting exams post-education exemptions.
  • A genuine ambition to pursue CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualifications.
