Clinical/Forensic or Counselling Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Forensic or Counselling Psychologist to join our Integrated Mental Health team at HMP Preston, a category B prison located in Lancashire. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Mental Health team and be an integral part of the clinical leadership team, supporting the development of the psychological therapies service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical support and oversight to the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT)
  • Undertake psychological assessments and support complex multi-disciplinary formulations
  • Deliver psychological interventions to cases of complexity, including individual and group interventions
  • Contribute to the development of audit, service evaluation, and research profile as appropriate

Requirements:

  • Registered with a professional body or regulatory body as appropriate to psychological therapy discipline
  • Experience of highly specialist psychological assessment and individual and group-based treatment of clients across various care settings
