Position Overview

The role of the Housing Officer is pivotal in our expansion initiative, where we are launching a new residential project designed to accommodate individuals with mental health diagnoses. This facility will feature 15 one-bedroom apartments, along with ample office and communal areas, complemented by a beautifully landscaped courtyard.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the accommodation, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for all residents.
  2. Deliver housing-related guidance and a comprehensive housing management service to support residents effectively.
  3. Collaborate with residents to assist them in managing their living arrangements and tenancy responsibilities.
  4. Execute all tasks in alignment with the core values of Norton Housing and Support, which include:

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • The capacity to build and maintain trust with residents and external partners
  • A compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor

While a formal qualification in housing is advantageous, comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.
