Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Document Preparation: Assist solicitors with the preparation and drafting of documents related to residential property transactions, including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements.
  • Client File Management: Manage and organize client files, ensuring that all documentation is accurately maintained and up-to-date.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients, estate agents, and other third parties to provide updates and address inquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research to support the team's activities.
  • Document Submission: Assist with the preparation of documents for submission to the Land Registry and mortgage lenders.
  • Meeting Coordination: Coordinate meetings and manage the team's calendar.
  • Conveyancing Support: Support the conveyancing process from instruction to post-completion.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Legal Assistant within a Residential Property department is essential.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process and residential property transactions.
  • Skills: Proficiency in legal research and document management, excellent communication skills, and a high level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software.
