About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at Branston & Heighington Family Practice. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs.
- Conduct cytology, wound care, and other clinical procedures.
- Provide health promotion and education to patients.
- Support the practice management team in reviewing and delivering clinical policy and procedure.
- Maintain accurate records and participate in administrative systems.
- Chaperone and assist patients during examinations.
- Perform venepuncture, ECGs, and other clinical tasks.
- Assist GPs with minor surgery and coil fittings.
- Request pathology tests and follow agreed clinical protocols.
Requirements
- Experience in primary care and a strong understanding of clinical protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and participate in administrative systems.
- Willingness to mentor and train junior staff.
