Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Planner to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing daily collections and deliveries, ensuring operational issues are communicated effectively across departments, and maintaining legal compliance within the transport sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage vehicles for Import collections and Export deliveries from major airports.
  • Arrange ADHOC temperature-controlled collections under GDP compliance.
  • Adapt to change and maintain composure in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
  • Ensure familiarity with regulatory bodies, such as the DVSA, WTD, and UK legislation.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a transport team.
  • Be flexible with working times and days as part of a shift operation.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels, with experience in dealing with both internal and external customers.
  • Solve problems effectively and enjoy the challenge.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Scheduling, preferably within the air freight industry.
  • Good understanding of major airports' servicing requirements and handling procedures.
  • Full understanding of Aviation Security regulation and ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Clear communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety in the workplace.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to multitask.
  • IT generalist knowledge, with experience in Transport Management systems and proficiency in MS Office programs including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Attention to detail, customer service, administration, and financial awareness.
  • 5 Year checkable work history.
  • CRB check.
