Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst (CTI)

Strativ Group is seeking a skilled Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to enhance our cybersecurity team within a critical national infrastructure organization in the energy sector. This role is vital for safeguarding our essential energy infrastructure from cyber threats. The successful candidate will actively identify, analyze, and mitigate cyber risks targeting our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Threat Surveillance: Continuously monitor and collect threat intelligence from various sources, including open data, dark web forums, and industry feeds.
  • Threat Recognition: Identify and assess potential threats, prioritizing them based on risk.
  • Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute threat intelligence strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Comprehensive Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of threat actors, their capabilities, motivations, and tactics.
  • Intelligence Reporting: Produce thorough threat intelligence reports that outline findings, risk evaluations, and suggested mitigation strategies.
  • Framework Development: Establish and maintain a robust threat intelligence framework.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with security operations teams to integrate threat intelligence into detection and response workflows.
  • Process Enhancement: Regularly assess and refine threat intelligence processes to bolster the organization’s cybersecurity posture.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and expertise to elevate security awareness throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Professional Experience: At least 2 years of experience in cyber threat intelligence, security analysis, or incident response.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in utilizing threat intelligence platforms, data mining, and analytical methodologies.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effectively conveying technical information.
  • Analytical Thinking: Self-driven with robust problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Desirable Knowledge: Familiarity with SCADA systems and associated threats is a plus.
  • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as GCTI, GCIA, or CISSP are highly regarded.
